Dear You,
I apologize for the huge time-lapse between blog entries. I have a lot to write about that has been occupying my thoughts and concerns regarding, well, virtually everything that has been and is bombarding our senses on a daily basis. I can hardly contain myself from spewing all of my grievances about the world in which we are trapped in—not necessarily of. Those verbalized musings should be coming soon.
My personal time is beginning to manifest itself. For the past several months, I’ve gladly embraced the role of caretaker for a close family member. By the grace of God, that person has received the gift of a miraculous healing and is on track for a full recovery. We are grateful to the Lord Jesus beyond words that could ever adequately express it. Coupled with that blessing, He has sent multiple daytime job orders my way, of which were mostly nonexistent in the year 2020, as was the case for far too many Americans.
As with the prior care obligation, the timely completion of those orders will present a challenge to the resumption of my passion, but to a lesser degree, I hope. That is why I am excited to share the good news and “The Good News.”—my next release called “A Little Faith” and the gospel of Jesus Christ! “The Good News” is also the title of another faith inspired song God gave to me.
As I’ve explained in an earlier ‘vlog’, I believe “A Little Faith” was supposed to be my official debut single, instead of “Pyro-Politician,” which was released almost one year ago. God had given me an inclination about releasing “A Little Faith” first, for which I failed to pray about, nor take seriously enough. Proceeding with my own clever and timely planned release of “Pyro-Politician,” four days before the 2020 Presidential election, offered a sense of euphoria.
That has been proven to be quite contrary to my hopefully exciting and potentially successful endeavor. Less than $3.00 of my monetary investment has been retrieved, coupled with a matching level of interest in the lyrical rant. One caveat—the professional production of an audio piece for a tenth of the average cost, by implementing my stubborn DIY mentality, which consumed hundreds of countless hours of my life.
No remorse for that phase, but I need to practice incorporating three additional letters to the acronym 'DIY.' Those would be...WGB. Decoded, the proposed axiom for the acronym 'DIYWGB' is: Do It Yourself With God’s Blessing—and best when waiting for His confirmation while in prayer about it. In other words (note to self) don’t jump the gun. I digress.
Instead of striving for a lengthy and expensive EP, or album, I’m currently opting for one, or two additional single releases prior to possibly tackling the larger running-back. My goal is to release the next song by the end of this year.
I am counting on Abba’s mercy to honor my plea for “A Little Faith” of mine, to reach those who need a little faith of their own. God knows we’re in a season of trying times for which faith, even as small as a mustard seed, would benefit us immensely.
In a big storm, a little faith is all you need.
